Zoey Deutch on the 'Surreal' Moment of Sharing Screen Time With Jennifer Aniston in New Comedy

Zoey Deutch is reflecting on a memorable collaboration with Jennifer Aniston in her latest film project.

The 31-year-old star appeared alongside the 57-year-old actress in a scene for the comedy Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass, which arrived in theaters on Friday, July 10. In a recent conversation, Deutch opened up about the experience of working with Aniston on her cameo role.

"That was incredibly surreal for me," Deutch shared with People. "I have met this person and I've spoken to them a couple times, and they're incredibly warm and lovely and funny, but working with them was absolutely one of the most surreal moments of my life and inspiring too."

She continued with candor about witnessing Aniston's craft firsthand: "It's like when you just see someone who's the greatest of all time doing it, you're like, 'Goddammit.'"

Deutch acknowledged that her focus wavered during filming, explaining, "Every take was just so brilliant and I was probably the worst actor in the world because I was more of an audience than a participant. I couldn't help myself. It was definitely one of the coolest moments of my life."

The film also features Jon Hamm, who reunites with Aniston after their work together on the Apple TV drama The Morning Show. In the movie, Hamm's character is the celebrity sex pass for Deutch's role. Both Hamm and Aniston are slated to appear in the fifth season of The Morning Show.
