Timothée Chalamet Makes Surprise Appearance at Dune: Part Three Trailer Premiere

Timothée Chalamet made an unexpected appearance at an L.A. movie theater Wednesday morning, greeting fans gathered to experience the Dune: Part Three trailer on IMAX.

The Oscar-nominated actor showed up alongside director Denis Villeneuve and moderator Brittany Broski for the trailer premiere event held at AMC Burbank 16 on July 8. The celebration extended far beyond Los Angeles, with simultaneous launch events bringing fans together in Chicago, Dallas, Toronto, Montreal, Berlin, Mexico City, and Abu Dhabi. All of those locations received a live stream of the Q&A segment.

Speaking to the assembled crowd, Chalamet reflected on the fanbase that has grown around the franchise. "I'm so moved that we have this community here now, this community of — fans isn't even the right word," he shared. "It's people that have been moved by whatever this material has to offer."

Villeneuve discussed his vision for the third installment, emphasizing how it distinguishes itself from its predecessors. "I said to my crew, 'I don't want us to walk into our own footsteps,'" the director explained. "I want us to bring the audience to new parts of Arrakis and something that was fresh and new… It's a Dune movie, but it has a very different rhythm and it's more intense."
