Love Island USA's Corbin Mims Addresses the "CorbinGPT" Viral Joke After Villa Exit

Corbin Mims is reflecting on his time in the Love Island USA villa after being voted off the show.

The 22-year-old from Miami entered the villa on Day 5 as a bombshell during an office-themed challenge. His time in the villa saw multiple coupling shifts: he paired with Kenzie initially, then moved to Melanie after America's vote, recoupled with Kenzie again, and ultimately brought Parmida back from Casa Amor. On July 5, Corbin and Parmida were eliminated after being voted one of the least compatible couples.

Since leaving the villa, Mims has addressed the internet's playful "CorbinGPT" nickname that emerged during his time on the show. He explained how the joke started when he first arrived as a bombshell.

"When I came in as a bombshell, the guys were at the fire pit describing how I walked in—slow, confident, no facial expressions," Mims shared. "They said I looked like I'd been pulled from Mount Olympus and dropped into the villa. They thought my mannerisms were so animated they seemed AI-generated, like I'd come from a lab."

The comparison continued to gain traction in the villa after other islanders noticed he remained still while sleeping, joking that he was "rebooting." The nickname eventually spread across social media.

After regaining access to his phone, Mims found humor in the memes circulating online. "I can't help but just laugh at all the memes," he told outlets. "When you're in the villa, you forget you're being recorded because it becomes your life. I'm just being myself, and sometimes I say stupid things."

Regarding his connection with Parmida outside the villa, Mims expressed optimism about their future together. He noted that while not all of their conversations made it to air, the depth of their chats and shared experiences during challenges have given him confidence about exploring their relationship in the real world.
