John Stamos Has Made His Position Clear: Dancing with the Stars Isn't Happening

John Stamos has made it abundantly clear that he will never take the dance floor on Dancing with the Stars.

Despite fielding multiple offers to join the ABC competition throughout his career, the 62-year-old actor has consistently declined. During an appearance on The Bobbycast with DWTS season 27 champion Bobby Bones, he elaborated on his firm stance against participating.

"I said, 'Don't ever ask me again,'" Stamos stated. "I'm never gonna do that show."

When Bones suggested the experience would provide valuable personal growth, Stamos remained unmoved by the pitch. His reasoning centers on what he views as the show's fundamental appeal to audiences.

"I just never… What makes that show good is people suffering and looking like fools. They're breaking their feet, calluses… I don't want that," he explained.

The conversation took a playful turn when Stamos brought up his Fuller House co-star Juan Pablo Di Pace, who competed on the series. Stamos joked about Di Pace's season, suggesting the outcome was unexpected.

"That guy won that year and you shouldn't have won," he remarked to Bones. "Oh my God, that was an upset. That kid, he got 10s all across and then some jackass came in and beat him. That's you? Oh my God, I'm done with this podcast."

Stamos's resistance to the show dates back years. In 2010, when pro dancer Karina Smirnoff expressed interest in having him as a partner, he responded via social media. He acknowledged feeling honored by the request but emphasized his lack of dancing credentials, using a self-deprecating comparison to illustrate his point.
