Jessica Alba Joins the 13 Going on 30 Reboot Cast

Jessica Alba is the latest addition to the cast of the forthcoming 13 Going on 30 reboot.

The 45-year-old performer has signed on for an undisclosed role in the project, as reported by Deadline. Details about her character and the broader storyline remain under lock and key for now. This marks Alba's return to Netflix following her previous work starring in and executive producing Trigger Warning on the platform.

Alba herself announced the news through Instagram, writing: "One of those movies that truly never gets old … Thrilled to be part of reimagining such an iconic film alongside an incredible cast and creative team."

She's joining previously confirmed cast members Logan Lerman and Emily Bader, who are set for the lead roles, along with Adeline Rudolph. Director Brett Haley, who previously worked with Bader on People We Meet on Vacation, is helming the project from a script penned by Hannah Marks. Jennifer Garner, who starred in the original 2004 film, is attached as an executive producer.

The original film followed Jenna Rink, a 13-year-old who, after an embarrassing birthday party incident, wakes up to find herself transformed into a 30-year-old fashion magazine editor.

Filming for the reboot commenced in Los Angeles last month.
