Hulu is bringing back 'The Testaments' for another run. The streaming platform has officially renewed the series for season 2, expanding the world of Margaret Atwood's literary adaptation.

The show functions as a companion piece to 'The Handmaid's Tale,' diving into a coming-of-age narrative within the oppressive regime of Gilead. At its center are two young women—Agnes, characterized by her devotion and piety, and Daisy, a recent convert who arrives from outside Gilead's boundaries. Their friendship unfolds within the austere confines of Aunt Lydia's exclusive finishing school, an institution designed to mold future wives through brutal discipline cloaked in religious authority. Their connection becomes the driving force that will reshape everything they've known.

The cast includes Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, and Ann Dowd.

The ninth episode, which became available on Hulu this week, features a pivotal death that has sent shockwaves through the audience. Becka takes drastic action against her father, Dr. Grove (played by Randal Edwards), stabbing him fatally in the bathtub. Her violent response emerges after she discovers his history of sexual abuse targeting Agnes and multiple other girls throughout Gilead.

Viewers will get their resolution when the season one finale arrives on May 27.
