The Boys Cast Celebrates Series Finale at Exclusive Screening, Three Lead Stars Missing

The ensemble cast of The Boys came together to mark the end of an era, gathering for an exclusive screening on Tuesday evening (May 19) at The United Theater on Broadway in Los Angeles, just hours before the finale premiered on Prime Video.

A substantial portion of the cast made the scene for the occasion. Laz Alonso, Nathan Mitchell, Chace Crawford, Valorie Curry, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Karen Fukuhara, Susan Heyward, Colby Minifie, Jensen Ackles, Tomer Capone, and Daveed Diggs all showed up to celebrate the milestone event. During the evening's photo opportunities, both group and individual shots, the cast playfully shielded themselves from the cameras.

However, the three most prominent names on the show's roster were conspicuously absent. Karl Urban, who portrayed Billy Butcher, Jack Quaid in the role of Hughie Campbell, and Antony Starr as Homelander all failed to make an appearance. The reasons behind their no-shows remain unclear.

The fifth and final season brings the story to its dramatic conclusion, with Homelander's unpredictable and self-centered nature driving much of the narrative. Hughie, Mother's Milk, and Frenchie find themselves confined in a "Freedom Camp," while Annie attempts to organize a resistance against the seemingly unstoppable Supe army. Kimiko's whereabouts remain a mystery throughout the events. When Butcher resurfaces with a virus capable of eliminating all Supes, he triggers a series of events with world-altering consequences. The finale delivers major developments, with four significant characters meeting their end before the credits roll.
