Jenna Ortega Stars in Leos Carax's 'Lily May B' Motorcycle Epic

Jenna Ortega is heading into her next major project. The 23-year-old Wednesday star has been tapped to lead Lily May B, the latest film from acclaimed French director Leos Carax.
This marks Carax's return to filmmaking following 2021's Annette. Production on Lily May B is scheduled to commence in spring next year.
The film follows three young characters—a girl, a woman, and a boy—each harboring secrets too profound to share. After crossing paths in a post-apocalyptic landscape, they journey together on a motorcycle across desolate cities, barren highways, and ancient forests. Their expedition confronts them with numerous perils as they search for identity and belonging.
Carax described the project's thematic core: "Once upon a time, this is what destroyed us, and this is what kept us alive."
Producer Hugo Selignac praised the collaboration in a statement, saying: "To me, Leos Carax is one of the reasons I fell in love with Cinema. Having the chance to embark on this first journey alongside him means a great deal to me. Lily May B carries forward his singular vision with the freedom, raw emotion, and visual power that are uniquely his. Seeing this universe meet Jenna Ortega's immense talent today feels simply natural."
Additional cast members, noted as "A-list" talent, will be revealed in September.
Meanwhile, Ortega has also been spotted on set recently filming material for Wednesday's third season.
