Fran Drescher is opening up about her enduring bond with Peter Marc Jacobson, her ex-husband of 21 years.

The 68-year-old Nanny star and Jacobson, also 68, parted ways in 1999 but have maintained an exceptionally tight friendship. Two years after their split, Jacobson came out as gay—yet the two have only grown closer over the decades.

During a recent conversation with People, Drescher discussed a vacation the pair took together and explained the one rule she's established in their dynamic. "He's my gay ex-husband. He's my best friend and he's always around," she said. "But we try and make sure that he's not too much of a c–kblock."

When pressed on whether Jacobson's presence might deter men from approaching her romantically while vacationing, Drescher acknowledged the possibility but noted it's largely a non-issue. "That might have been, but for the most part, everybody knows who he is," she explained.

During their marriage, Drescher and Jacobson collaborated creatively, co-creating the hit sitcom The Nanny, which aired from 1993 until their divorce year. Their professional partnership didn't end there—they later teamed up again to create Happily Divorced, a series that drew directly from their personal story.

"He's my life partner. He's my work partner," Drescher reflected on their multifaceted relationship.

In previous interviews, Drescher has discussed her romantic life, revealing she maintains "a little rotation" of "friends with benefits" arrangements.
