Rod Stewart Honored With Grammy Salute Special on CBS

Rod Stewart is taking center stage for a landmark television tribute. The music icon, 81, received the "Forever Young: A Grammy Salute to Rod Stewart Live" special, which aired on CBS and streamed on Paramount+ from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET/PT on Tuesday, May 19.

The two-hour event celebrated the GRAMMY Award-winning artist and two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, recognized as one of the best-selling musicians in history. The broadcast delivered an all-access concert experience, blending onstage performances with exclusive behind-the-scenes moments that gave viewers intimate access to the superstar.

Beyond the music, the special showcased Stewart's personal side through candid interviews where he reflected on his remarkable career, his family bonds, and his unwavering commitment to performing. The production incorporated rare archival footage and exclusive backstage content, capturing Stewart in full form as he and his band launched the extended U.S. portion of his "One Last Time" tour, which began in 2024 and has expanded into a multi-year global phenomenon fueled by fan enthusiasm.

Filmed in Miami, Florida, the special featured Stewart's touring musicians, including J'Anna Jacoby, Kevin Savigar, Curt Schneider, Don Kirkpatrick, Joanne Harper, Becca Kotte, Jimmy Roberts, and Holly Brewer. His 38-year-old daughter Ruby Stewart also appeared on the broadcast.

Stewart had recently crossed paths with King Charles at the A King's Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration on May 11 in London, England, where the artist shared a special message regarding the monarch's recent time in the United States with Donald Trump.
