Charles Spencer has said "I do." The brother of the late Princess Diana married archaeologist Cat Jarman on Friday, May 15, in Sedona, Arizona.

The picturesque desert ceremony took place with Cathedral Rock forming a striking backdrop. For Spencer, this marks his fourth trip down the aisle, arriving months after his 2024 split from his third wife, Karen.

"We both feel so incredibly lucky to have progressed from being colleagues, to friendship, to deep love and connection," the newlyweds shared in a joint statement. "Each stage of our relationship has been underpinned by laughter and we share a passion for life."

Jarman, a specialist in Viking history who earned her PhD in archaeology from the University of Bristol in 2017, first crossed paths with Spencer in 2021 when he was invited to review her nonfiction book River Kings. The two have since collaborated on archaeological expeditions and co-host the podcast The Rabbit Hole Detectives.

Spencer previously reflected on their bond in an interview, describing Jarman as "completely different to anyone I have been with before." He continued: "With her I don't pretend to be anything I am not. She knows exactly who I am—and who I am not. She brings out the best in me."
