Amy Adams Opens Up About Leaving Instagram Behind in 2021

Don't expect to see Amy Adams lighting up your Instagram feed anytime soon. The 51-year-old Oscar-nominated actress has largely vanished from the social platform, with her last post dating back nearly five years.

That final post came on July 21, 2021, when she shared birthday wishes for her husband, Darren Le Gallo. "Happy Birthday to my lovely husband @darrenlegallo. Love you D!" she wrote at the time.

In a recent conversation with S Magazine, Adams explained her decision to go dark on the app. "It didn't feel organic. I'm kind of boring. I am really routine-driven. I go to the same places. I'm already so settled in my ways that I would have to hunt for something to post about outside of work," she said.

While Adams has remained off the platform, her husband continues to maintain an active presence. Le Gallo recently posted a touching tribute to their daughter Aviana, who turned 16 this month. "My girl is 16 years old today, and I'm just so grateful to be your Father. You're an incredible human being, and it's been the greatest joy of my life to watch you grow. What a gift. I definitely learn more from you. Happy Birthday Aviana xoxo," he shared.

Meanwhile, Adams is gearing up for her next project, with a brand new series set to premiere on Apple TV in the coming weeks.
