American Horror Story Season 13 Expands Cast With Lynch's Twisty Return and Fresh Additions

American Horror Story is adding to its already-stacked roster for season 13. The FX anthology series has revealed several new cast members joining the highly anticipated 13th season.
Headlining the announcements is John Carroll Lynch's return to the franchise as Twisty the Clown, the fan-favorite slasher character he previously brought to life in American Horror Story: Freak Show and AHS: Cult.
Mat Fraser is also making a comeback, reprising his role as Paul the Illustrated Seal from Freak Show for the new season.
The cast additions come as season 13 assembles an impressive ensemble that includes returning stars Ariana Grande, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, John Waters, and Leslie Grossman.
Mena Suvari has joined the project as well. The actress previously appeared in the AHS universe, where she played Elizabeth Short, also known as The Black Dahlia. Her specific role in season 13 remains undisclosed for now.
New to the franchise entirely is Berto Colón, who has been cast as Joe the Doorman, an employee working for Jessica Lange's character.
The announcements arrived on May 20, 2026, as production continues on the new season.
